  • 1990: Graduated with B.Sc. in Life Sciences from the Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Beer Sheva, Israel.
  • 1990-1993: Service in the Israeli Military, at a rank of First Lieutenant.
  • 2000: Graduated with a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Madison-Wisconsin.
  • 2000-2006: Post-doctoral research at the University of California-Berkeley.
  • 1994: Begun training Shotokan Karate at the UW-Madison Shotokan Karate Club, under Nurliza Buyong Sensei.
  • 1995-2000: Trained at the UW-Madison Shotokan Karate Club under Vassil Peytchev Sensei.
  • 1999 Achieved Shodan rank in Shotokan Karate under Hidetaka Nishiyama Sensei and Shojiro Sugiyama Sensei.
  • 2014-Current: Training at the Fremont Shotokan Karate Dojo under Bernardo Mercado Sensei, Harry Imamura Sensei, and Al McGaughey Sensei.
  • A mother of two, both train at the Fremont Shotokan Karate Dojo.

  • 1997: Madison Traditional Karate Tournament, Black Belt Division, 2nd place Kumite.
  • 1998: Madison Traditional Karate Tournament, Black Belt Division. 2nd placeWomen’s Team Kata.
  • 1998: Windy City Traditional Karate Tournament VI, 1st place Kumite.
  • 1999: Northwestern University Collegiate Karate Tournament, 2nd place Team Kata 3rd place Kumite.
  • 1999: Madison Traditional Karate Tournament, Black Belt Division, 2nd place Kata.
